Hi — I’m Kristen but you can call me "KK".
I make portraits for people who care about how things feel as much as how they look. I photograph families as they are, professionals stepping into what’s next, seniors at a meaningful moment of transition, and events full of energy and connection. I’m drawn to real people and real moments — images that feel thoughtful without feeling overdone. My favorite thing to hear at the end of a session is, “That was actually fun.”
I’m known for helping people relax quickly, guiding the process clearly, and keeping things moving without ever making it feel rushed. Whether I’m working with a toddler who needs a snack break or a team on a tight timeline, my goal is the same: make it feel easy, comfortable, and genuinely enjoyable.
My Story
Before photography became my full-time focus, I spent years working in hospitality — an experience that shaped how I work far more than any piece of equipment ever could. It taught me how to read a room, manage details quietly, and make sure people feel taken care of, especially in fast-moving or high-pressure situations.
I also bring a strong artistic foundation to my work, with a trained eye for light, composition, and color. Whether I’m photographing a brand, a family, or an event, I approach each session with intention and care, creating images that feel natural, timeless, and true to the people in them.
I work with professionals, creatives, families, nonprofits, and organizations of all sizes. What they tend to have in common is that they want great work — and a process that feels human.
I take the work seriously. I don’t take myself too seriously. And I feel incredibly lucky to do this every day.
