Hi there — I’m Kristen Koors.

After years of exploring the world with a camera in one hand and a wine glass in the other, I began my career as a sommelier here in Portland, Oregon. Over a decade later — with a marriage, a baby, and a whole lot of perspective — I returned to my first love: photography.

People are my favorite subject. Helping you tell your story and present yourself with authenticity and ease is one of the greatest joys of my life. I’m known for being easy to work with, for putting people instantly at ease, and for working quickly without ever sacrificing detail. My background in painting and art gives me a deep understanding of composition, color theory, and light — which I bring to every session, whether it’s for a family portrait or a personal branding shoot.

My years in hospitality taught me how to manage fast-paced environments and make everyone feel taken care of. Unsurprisingly, I now work often with winemakers, chefs, and hospitality pros — but my clients include professionals and creatives of all kinds.

From capturing growing families to helping entrepreneurs elevate their brands — I get to celebrate real people in their real moments.

And I think it’s the best job in the world.
